Backup and Restore

The Kaizen Plugin provides multiple backup and restore features to protect your work and enable easy recovery.

Restore Topic​

Restore the latest backup of the current topic.

  1. Open a topic that you want to restore.
  2. Click Restore Topic in the Backup group.
  3. The topic is restored to its most recent backup version.

Restore from ZIP​

Restore all topics from a previously created ZIP backup file.

  1. Click Restore from ZIP in the Backup group.
  2. Select the ZIP backup file.
  3. Choose the destination folder.
  4. All topics in the backup are restored.

Back up File​

Create a temporary backup of the current file in the temp directory.

  1. Open the file you want to back up.
  2. Click Back up File in the Backup group.
  3. The file is backed up to your temporary directory.

Tips​

  • Back ups are created automatically as you work
  • ZIP backups are useful for archiving project states
  • Individual file backups help with experimental changes
  • Always create a backup before major restructuring
